Poking The Box of Creating Change: 1 year, 9 months ago · ViewThat schoolgirl challenge sounds quite amazing. Rock climbing?! What you say definitely makes sense. So charities are a large part of the answer for you. I also love them and try to support here and there, but it still doesn’t feel complete. I long to find the bigger ‘why’ behind the things I do (and [...]

Poking The Box of Creating Change: 1 year, 9 months ago · ViewThat’s a difficult question. One of the things that I’m doing personally is the One Girl’s challenge where I go rock climbing in a school girl’s uniform to raise money for school girls in Sierra Leone. $250 to send one girl to school for a year. @ChantelleBaxter from Australia is part of that. Also? In [...]

Poking The Box of Creating Change: 1 year, 10 months ago · ViewHi guys, Many people write or have written about finding your passion and doing what you love. I’m struggling to find my mission and doing what I should. Every time something severe happens out there – every earthquake, every famine, every shooting – I feel a snippet of the world’s pain and anger upon my [...]

If I wanted to start selling services [like courses or consultations], do I need a special business license/permit/tax ID? Do I need to report sales on my tax returns?
I’ve been struggling with the same question. From what I can tell, if you make under a certain $$ figure, you don’t have to file taxes at all. If you want to form an LLC to protect your personal assets as separate from your business…try legalzoom.com
The cheapest and most potentially tax liable way is sole proprietorship, where you just use your SSN to file taxes.
Also—check out sba.gov. You’re a minority + female if I’m not mistaken…and the federal gov is looking for agribiz things. As a ”disadvantaged small business owner” you can force the government to consider your bid for contracts above all others.

Here’s the rough draft of a post about how my blog helped me discover myself in ways I never thought possible. I think it fits with the Changeblogger mission, but I’m not sure. Anyway, here it is: The reasons for starting and maintaining a blog are almost as varied as the topics available to blog [...]
