I created Changeblogger as a way to bring like-minded individuals together to discuss the crazy movement that is emerging and to give this community a place to congregate and connect (@teezeng was the catalyst got me moving and @ali-dark suggested the awesome BuddyPress software this site is running on).
A bit about me: Last year I quit my decade-long career in the IT industry, sold all my stuff, left my apartment, and went to India, Vietnam, and Nepal for six months with just one backpack. That trip changed my life and opened my eyes to the extreme poverty and inequality that exists in this world.
Ever since then I’ve been trying to find ways to use my knowledge of the Internet, blogging, and social media to connect like-minded individuals and do something nudge the planet and our civilization in a better direction.
I grew up in the Northeastern United States, a little north of Boston, MA. I’m currently living as a nomad, exploring and traveling with just one backpack (as of April 2011, I’m traveling within the United States and plan to go abroad again in the second half of the year).
I do freelance web development (mostly WordPress customization and blog-related services) and run a small web hosting company called ActualWebSpace. I also run a blog at raamdev.com and you can find me on Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
